從VIS慈善募款社開始—挺失依兒

VIS Orphaned Children Caring Initiative

每個孩子都值得被守護、被珍惜、被愛。

在台灣，有許多失依兒需要社會支持，才能獲得穩定和安全的生長環境和健康成長的機會。由VIS慈善募款社為起點，協助蒲公英計畫，將為失依兒童募集安置期間的必要生活、教育與醫療經費。

募款將用於支撐：

• 安置與生活照顧
• 幼兒與學齡教育費用
• 基本醫療與健康照護

透過行動，希望讓更多孩子在愛與支持中成長，適性發展，迎向更好的未來。

Every child deserves to be protected, cherished, and loved. However, in Taiwan, many orphaned children are still needing social support for a safe and stable environment for growing up healthily.

Initiated by the VIS Charity Fundraising Club, partnering with Chung Yi Social Welfare Foundation, this initiative aims to help under the Dandelion Project and raise funds for orphaned children's essential sheltering, educational, and medical expenses during their placement period.

Funds raised will be used to support the children’s:

• Placement and daily living care
• Early stages of education
• Fundamental medical and health care

Through this initiative, we aim to enable more children the environment that allows them to grow up under love and support, develop according to their interests, and embrace a brighter future.

行動緣起/President's Motivation

在VIS的學習環境中，我們經常以聯合國永續發展目標(SDG1~17)為思考的重要框架。其中SDG3(良好健康與福祉)與SD 4(優質教育)提醒我，每一個孩子都應該擁有健康、安全的成長環境與受教育的基本權利。

然而，台灣仍有一大部分的失依兒童因為家庭因素或困境，需要仰賴社福機構提供安置與照顧。在了解忠義基金會長期致力於幼年失依兒童的照顧與安置工作後，我們深受感動與啟發，希望能以學生的微薄力量盡一份心力。

另外，在VIS獨有的PBL(專題式學習)課程中，我們長期使用一個核心問題為課程導向:

「我如何讓世界變得更好?」

作為回答，希望透過VIS慈善募款社的參與和支持，讓在忠義的孩子們能夠在更多愛與關懷中健康成長。
 

Studying in VIS, we often use the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 1-17) as a crucial framework for our projects and directions. Specifically, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education) have been continuously reminding me of the two facts that every child deserves the right to grow up in a healthy and safe environment, and that they also have the fundamental right to receive education.

However, a large proportion of children in Taiwan still became orphaned due to family circumstances or hardship, and they rely heavily on social organizations for placement and care. I became deeply touched and motivated after learning about Chung Yi Social Welfare Foundation's long-term commitment to the care and placement of young, orphaned children, and I now hoped to contribute my modest efforts as a student.

Furthermore, in VIS's signature course "PBL" (Project-Based Learning) curriculum, we have always been using a driving question as our guide:

"How can I make the world a better place?"

In response, I started this fundraising campaign as president of the VIS Charity Fundraising Club, hoping to offer children at Chung Yi more love and care, as well as the outcome of growing up healthily through VIS's participation and support.
